I acknowledge the land that I live and work on is the unceded, traditional and ancestral territory of many nations, namely the Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, Attiwonderonk, Anishinabewaki and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, these regions surrounding the Great Lakes, are still home to many indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island. These areas continue to be rich in First Nations and Metis culture and traditions. It is important for us to address that the land on which we gather, live and work on, is part of the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit.
